Spring Break Camping

Joshua 7

Last year, I pretty much worked through Christmas and Spring Break.  I was so stupid; I will never be able to get that time back.  This year, I intentionally took a break from work to spend time with my family, and it was such a blessing.

So this past week, we laid grass sod in our backyard on Monday and then went camping in a borrowed popup trailer in southern New Mexico Tuesday through Thursday.

Tuesday night, the wind blew fiercely, and a few times Beau woke up afraid in the middle of the night.  I told him that he didn't need to be afraid because I was with him.

I wish I had that perspective with my Heavenly Father.  I don't have to be afraid because He is always with me.

Joshua 1:9 NIV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Heavenly Father, please help me know that you are always with me.  And please deliver me from fear.  May I walk with you and trust you to lead me, provide for me, and protect me.  I love you, and I ask in the name of Jesus Christ.

Global impact

Last week at the Membrane Technology Conference, a Brother in Christ initiated a small meeting with a few Brothers that he knew.  It was so encouraging to talk about how we can use the gifts and talents that God has given us in our profession to share the Gospel of Jesus around the world.  I am excited to see how God uses this ministry

Heavenly Father, please bless us as we are salt and light in the water treatment industry.  I ask in the name of Jesus.

Tortillas in the desert

Numbers 11

8 The people would go out and gather it from the ground. They made flour by grinding it with hand mills or pounding it in mortars. Then they boiled it in a pot and made it into flat cakes. These cakes tasted like pastries baked with olive oil.

I wonder if the Jewish traditional matzah is influenced by the Israelite's manna experience.

I want to enjoy the bread of Christ, the true manna, every day.

Heavenly Father, please help me enjoy Christ and grow spiritually every day.  I love you, and I want to walk in humble obedience.  I ask in the name of Christ.
