Certainty of our faith

Luke 1

Luke, who learned faith in Jesus second-hand, set out to write a careful account to Theophilus (symbolic of those who love God).

V. 4
"so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught."

We can be sure of our faith in Jesus.  It is not a fairy tale.  It is not a philosophy.  It is a relationship of trusting the one who loves us so much that He was willing to die for us to bring us back to the Father.

Father, thank you for providing the Scriptures for us.  Thank you that we can be sure of our faith in Jesus.  Jesus thank you for your amazing life.  I love you.

Scripture and God's power

When Jesus was questioned about a hypothetical situation involving a woman who married each of seven brothers, He explained that the hypothetical situation and their conclusions were erroneous because they were ignorant of both the Scriptures and the power of God.

I want to avail myself to experience both, every day.

Father, draw me in to know you through your Scripture and your power.  I want to walk as a son. May others see your goodness and love through me.  I love you.
