11 "You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! 13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him."
So, does our Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit only once, or should I ask the Father to give me more of the Holy Spirit each day? Is it a once-and-done deal, or is it a continuous renewal process?Heavenly Father, I know that you have called me to be your adopted son, and I know that you have given me the Holy Spirit. Please continue to refresh my awareness of the presence of the Holy Spirit, and anoint me again, if that is what you do. I want to be used by you. I love you, Lord, and I ask in the name of Jesus Christ.
