testimony

Acts 25:23-28:10

Paul had the opportunity to share his testimony before a bunch of really important people, and he simply shared how Jesus became his Savior and Lord (26:4-23).  He told them who he was before Christ, his faith experience, and then his life after that point.  I really appreciate his boldness and simplicity.  It doesn't have to be complicated, just genuine.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for the example of the Apostle Paul.  Please give me boldness to genuinely share the truth of Jesus Christ.  Lord, please use me in the relationships that you've given me to bring glory to your name.  I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

  1. Remembering where you came from keeps God's grace fresh in your heart so you can extend the same grace to other's in sin; instead of judgment.

You look around at today's media "Christians", and they are passing God's judgment on the world around us, instead of His grace. It's sad to see and to listen to on the news; and quite frankly, makes me a little angry. How we tend to forget that until Christ comes again, He didn't come the first time to condemn the world, but to save it.

That is another reason why Paul continued to preach, "I'd rather boast in my weakness." So he could reflect God's grace in his life publicly; so those who saw it would believe, and see tangible evidence of God's grace and love toward us.

Application: we should remember who we were before we let Christ rule our lives; especially when we see sin around us. That way we can properly extend God's grace to them, just the way Christ did for us.
