Jonah 4:2 NIV
He prayed to the LORD, "Isn't this what I said, Lord , when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.
The LORD is kind and gracious. He sends prophets to confront our sin, and His heart is for us to repent and return to Him for forgiveness and restoration.
Heavenly Father, you are good and kind, and I want to love you more. Help me see your character, and help me tell others about how good you are so that they will know you and love you, as well. I pray in the name of Jesus.
