[Jesus] said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
Mark 16:15-18 NIV
First, Jesus explains that if you believe the Gospel, then you will be saved. Second, in the next sentence, Jesus explains that if you believe, then you will heal the sick.
I think I have been thinking that healing is only for a select few. But Jesus includes healing as a sign for those who believe the Gospel. I believe the Gospel, therefore I am able to be used by Him to heal.
Father, thank you for your desire to heal. Jesus, thank you for your promises of signs for those who believe the Gospel. Holy Spirit, please show me how to walk in your promises. I love you.
