Deuteronomy 14-16, Mark 12

Giving to the Lord and giving to people is supposed to be about celebrating the Lord's goodness and honoring His character.  Having a generous and kind heart as you give to the poor is what God really wants.

Heavenly Father, please give me a right attitude.  Lord, please help me set my mind on the spirit today, and not on the flesh.  Lord Jesus, thank you for your infinite gift of love and mercy.  Please help me see how I am blessed to be a blessing.  Lord, please help me honor you in taking care of the orphan, widow, and foreigner.  I ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
