I just can't get over how much they grumbled. I mean, after all God had done for them, after all the times He had spared them the full vent of His wrath - and they still were so whiney. Well, again, I guess it's pretty true to life.
I love the snake story. The snake on the pole is a picture of Christ. He took on the form of sinful man - even on a pole. It is by turning to Him that we have salvation.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for your son Jesus Christ who lived a perfect life and took on my sin to extinguish sin and death. Lord, help me not to grumble, but help me be joyful and allow your life to fill me. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
