I was reviewing this passage that I read yesterday, and it is so good that I had to write a blog about it.
Here's the summary: the Israelites grumbled against Moses and God for not having food. God promised to feed them. The people saw the glory of God and associated His presence with the bread from heaven.
Here's the sweet application: we can experience the glory of God and His presence in our daily pursuit of Christ, the bread from heaven! In this way, He tests us to see if we will walk in His law (v. 4), and we know that Christ is the fulfillment of all the law!
