Matthew 5:9 NLT
God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.
I am reminded of what the angels announced regarding Christ's birth: "peace on earth..." Jesus brings peace between us and God, and He brings peace among us humans. When we are peacemakers, we are like Christ, and God calls us His children.
How great is the love, lavished on us all, that we should be called the children of God.
Heavenly Father, please help me be a peacemaker. Thank you for your great love toward us in Christ, and thank you for growing Christ in us. Thank you for being our Father. I love you, and I pray in the name of Jesus.
