justice

Exodus 21-22, Matthew 19

In addition to the ten commandments (which are pretty clear), the Lord gave Moses quite a few additional laws.  As I was reading them, I pondered, "What does this reveal about the Lord?  Why would He specify all of this stuff?"  I think it is because the Lord is Holy and just.  He loves justice and righteousness.

Heavenly Father, I praise you because you are Holy.  You are perfect and complete; you are righteous and just.  Lord, please help me live in a way that honors you.  May my life be an example of your love, and the righteousness that is by faith.  I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
