23 And He said to them all, If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save his soul-life shall lose it; but whoever loses his soul-life for My sake, this one shall save it.
We talked about this in our homegroup on Wednesday night as we studied Mark 9:30-37. It is so difficult to deny yourself. In fact, denying your self is painful because it is a slow death to self.
Heavenly Father, please help me live a selfless life like Jesus did. Lord, I want to gain your life in me and not worry about "my" life. I love you, Lord. Please speak to me and use me today. I ask in the name of Jesus Christ.
